Intelligent Building Expo Tashkent 2026: three days that changed industry standards in Central Asia

From May 20 to 22, 2026, the UzExpoCentre exhibition complex hosted Intelligent Building Expo Tashkent 2026 — the first international exhibition in Central Asia dedicated to intelligent construction, engineering systems, and digital infrastructure. The event was organized by Business Media Central Asia, the official representative of Messe Frankfurt GmbH (Germany), the company behind global brands such as ISH, Light + Intelligent Building, and Intersec.
Over the course of three days, nearly 250 companies from more than 11 countries presented their solutions, including Germany, Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Poland, France, the Czech Republic, Türkiye, China, and many others. The exhibition covered more than 8,000 sq. m, while the total number of professional visitors exceeded 5,500.
The exhibition became the first platform of this scale in the region where manufacturers, developers, designers, and system integrators could meet in one place — without the need to travel to Dubai, Frankfurt, or Shanghai. Three days of intensive business activity confirmed that Central Asia’s demand for intelligent engineering solutions has moved beyond simple interest and become a real market demand.

Three days. One platform. Real business.

The exhibition officially opened with a ceremony attended by Johannes Möller (Messe Frankfurt Exhibitions), Dilfuza Samandarova (BMCA Uzbekistan), Davronjon Adilov (Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Uzbekistan), and Faridunshokh Abdulalimov (Uzeltiekhsanoat Association). During the opening, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Uzeltiekhsanoat, BMCA Uzbekistan, and Messe Frankfurt to support the development of international exhibition projects and the integration of Uzbek companies into the global exhibition industry.
From the very first hours, the exhibition floor became a center of active business discussions: buyers, developers, designers, and system integrators from dozens of countries held negotiations on supply contracts and partnerships. Particular attention was drawn to building automation technologies, HVAC solutions, power supply systems, and energy efficiency. The first day’s business program focused on the development of the cable industry, the “New Tashkent” projects, and smart building technologies, with all sessions held before full audiences.
One of the highlights of the second day was the professional plumbers’ competition — a live contest testing participants’ skills, speed, and installation quality. The competition gathered professionals from different regions of the country and became one of the exhibition’s most dynamic and engaging events. At the same time, thematic sessions and B2B meetings continued throughout the day, with negotiation areas fully occupied.
The final day focused on strategic topics — energy efficiency and the role of AI in the construction industry of the future. Three sessions were held: “Energy Efficiency of Buildings in Uzbekistan: Requirements Until 2030,” “Generative AI for Intelligent Buildings,” and “AI and the Revolution in the World of Automation.” Discussions continued far beyond the official schedule, as participants left with practical insights and clear directions for their future projects.

Figures & Facts

• 250 participating companies from 11 countries
• 8,000+ sq. m of exhibition space
• 3 days of business networking, industry sessions, and meetings
• 5,500+ professional visitors over three days
• 14 business sessions on HVAC, automation, energy efficiency, AI, and smart city technologies
• Memorandum of Cooperation signed between Uzeltiekhsanoat, BMCA Uzbekistan, and Messe Frankfurt
The exhibition hosted dozens of B2B meetings between international solution providers and regional buyers. Participants showcased advanced technologies, discussed practical case studies, and signed partnership agreements.

International Reach

Professionals from 34 countries visited the exhibition. Unsurprisingly, the largest delegation came from Uzbekistan, while the strong presence of international guests confirmed the truly global interest in the Central Asian market.
Among the foreign delegations were representatives from Azerbaijan, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Germany, Georgia, Türkiye, Bulgaria, Spain, Italy, Latvia, the Czech Republic, India, Pakistan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and many other countries.
This broad international geography clearly demonstrated that Intelligent Building Expo Tashkent 2026 became not just a local industry gathering, but an event of regional and global significance.

Why It Matters

Uzbekistan is growing rapidly and confidently. The volume of construction work is increasing by 7–9% annually and exceeded 120 trillion UZS in 2023. Every year, millions of square meters of residential and commercial real estate are commissioned in Tashkent alone. New districts, new neighborhoods, and new infrastructure projects are continuously reshaping the country.
At the same time, the market itself is evolving quickly. Automation, energy monitoring, smart lighting, and modern HVAC systems are no longer optional — they are becoming the new reality of Uzbekistan’s construction industry. Developers are integrating intelligent solutions directly into project documentation. Clients are demanding energy efficiency from the technical specification stage. Facility management companies are searching for systems capable of reducing operational costs from day one. The market is not simply ready — it is already moving forward.
The government is actively shaping new industry standards by introducing regulations on energy efficiency and heat-loss reduction, while the “New Uzbekistan” concept includes large-scale infrastructure investments. The standards are being formed right now — and those who enter the market early will have the opportunity to shape them together with the industry.
Intelligent Building Expo Tashkent provides direct access to this market — without intermediaries, cold calls, or months of correspondence. Three days of live dialogue with developers, designers, buyers, and system integrators who are already building projects and searching for suppliers.
Central Asia is creating a new engineering ecosystem together with international industry leaders.
