Today, the UzExpoCentre exhibition complex hosted the official opening of the Intelligent Building Expo Tashkent 2026 — a landmark event in the field of intelligent construction, engineering systems, and digital infrastructure in Central Asia. The exhibition is being held for the first time in the region and is organized by Business Media Central Asia — the official representative of Messe Frankfurt GmbH, the company behind such global brands as ISH, Light + Intelligent Building, and Intersec.
Across an area of 8,000 sq. m, approximately 250 companies from more than 20 countries presented their solutions, including companies from Germany, Italy, Turkey, the UAE, China, South Korea, and others. Over three days, the exhibition expects to welcome more than 6,000 industry professionals.
Day One: Opening Ceremony, Memorandum, Negotiations, and Business Program
At the official opening ceremony, welcoming remarks were delivered by representatives of key organizations — Messe Frankfurt Exhibitions (Johannes Möller), BMCA Uzbekistan (Dilfuza Samandarova), the New Tashkent Directorate (Davronjon Adilov), and the Uzeltekhsanoat Association (Faridunshokh Abdualimov). Speakers emphasized that Central Asia has become a new strategic direction in the Messe Frankfurt portfolio, and that such a project is being implemented in Uzbekistan for the first time.
During the ceremony, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Uzeltekhsanoat Association, BMCA Uzbekistan, and Messe Frankfurt — a document aimed at developing international exhibition projects and integrating Uzbek companies into the global exhibition industry.
From the very first hours, the exhibition stands saw active business engagement: buyers from dozens of countries, developers, designers, and system integrators held substantive negotiations on supplies, partnerships, and joint projects. Building automation technologies, HVAC, power supply, security systems, and energy efficiency attracted particular interest.
“Previously, Uzbek developers and designers had to travel to Dubai, Shanghai, or Frankfurt to see equipment in person. Now all of this has come here — to Tashkent, for three days, in one place”
— Dilfuza Samandarova, CEO of BMCA Uzbekistan
A rich business program ran in parallel: sessions covered the development of the cable industry, urban planning projects for New Tashkent, international infrastructure partnerships, and smart building technologies. All events drew full halls and sparked lively discussions — the topic of building automation and management generated particularly high audience interest.
What Awaits Participants on May 21
The second day promises to be even more eventful. The program includes continued business sessions, new thematic blocks, and live discussions featuring international experts and industry representatives.
The main event of the day is a professional plumbing competition, which will bring together industry specialists in an open competition testing craftsmanship, speed, and installation quality. This is a unique opportunity to see the best professionals at work and assess the real level of industry expertise.
Exhibitor stands continue to operate: visitors can look forward to live equipment demonstrations, B2B meetings, and the opportunity to find partners for projects in Uzbekistan and Central Asia.
Day One Results
The first day of the exhibition was attended by 2,015 professionals — already a strong result on the first day, confirming the market’s high interest in intelligent building technologies. The organizers expect an even greater flow of visitors in the coming days.
Uzbekistan remains one of the most dynamic construction markets in the CIS, and Intelligent Building Expo Tashkent 2026 is confidently establishing itself as a key meeting point for manufacturers, developers, integrators, and industry experts.
The exhibition will continue until May 22.
Central Asia is shaping a new engineering ecosystem — together with international industry leaders.
